Challenge Assembly

The parts that went really well were when we played our ukuleles to the song three little birds.

When the building fell down it was really funny and when Bedir said that Mr Marquand didn't have to shave his hair for 15 years.

One thing I did in the assembly was word jumble. I felt excited to do the word jumble.

The main message of the assembly was every one has challenges in their life's.

I think this message didn't come across clearly to the Juniors because they might have not understand it.

An idea I have of how we could of made it better is that we could have made a tornado happening in our assembly.

Calendar art

Last term my whole class made calendar art. How to make calendar art.
1. First we chose what piece of art to do
2. second we chose the background contrasting wallpaper.
3. Third we glued the background on the paper.
4. Fourth we did some layering after we cut the shape of the tree and glued it on our paper.
5. Fifth we cut some leaves and glued them on the end of the tree branches.
I felt good after I completed my calendar art.
Next time I will do nothing differently.

Cross Country

Last Friday I ran in the cross country.

Before the cross country I felt really nervous.

After the cross country I felt like this was easy to do.

My goal was to not come last and I completed it.

I am proud that I Didn't stop in the race.

what helped me keep going was my goal.

Speeeeech Time

Before my speech I felt really nervous because I thought that I might forget whats written on my cue cards like last time I had to skip some cue cards out.
After my speech I felt really sad because I knew nearly all of my speech but I still didnt do any eye cotact because I just didnt want to look at the audience staring at me and I didnt do jestures for no reason.
Something I did well was speaking clearly and I spoke louder than last time.
My goal was to do eye contact but I failed to complete my goal so next year when its speech time this will be my goal.
Next time I want to workn on Eye contact and to speak a bit louder.

Naritive writing

This term for writing we have been doing narrative writing. In a good narrative story there is a hook in sentence, time and place a problem a solution a interesting ending and how the characters are like and a title .

My stories title is Swedan tree because Swedan tree is really special in my story. My stories hook in sentence is keep digging I said to my friend. we're nearly there. My stories time and place is midday on top of tree on ship under tree on Great Barrier island in ocean on land. My stories characters are me, ugly piarates my friend Elizabeth who is a nice girl and Alisha who is really brave and strong. My stories problem is that me and my two friends get locked on the pirates ship by the pirates. My stories solution is that the pirates get under attack by an another group of pirates and one of their pirate was coming to check if there was a pirate where we were locked up. I saw a knife so I picked it up and I opened the ropes. We had three life jackets and so we put them on. Splaashhhhhhh we jumped into the sea and swam across to Great Barrier island. My stories interesting ending is Alisha your great. Thanks for doing all the digging said Elizabeth. I love Swedan tree, it's the best tree i've ever seen said Sabrina. I think we should go home now. we now got all the treasure and i,m tired now. lets go home now said Alisha. These were my main parts of my story.

I like narrative writing because you can make your own made up story.

Next time when I write a Narrative story I will include lots of adjectives and similes.

speeches

I don't like speeches because the audience stares at you and I don't like the audience staring at me .

I need to get better at eye contact.

In this term for maths we have been learning about decimals. First I thought that decimals were really hard but now decimals are really easy for me.
The best thing about decimals is that they are easy to read and I like the decimal sticks.
The hardest thing about decimals is when you have to do smallest to largest decimals because you get confused with them.
I now want to know how to plus decimals.

This term for readingI have been reading the book enemy at the gate and after reading some paraghraphs of the book we had to awnser some questions of the book. when we finshed reading the book we had to make a poster and we got a enemy at the gate tasks sheet which had the things that we had to include.

I most enjoyed making the poster because it was the easist thing in our reading. I also enjoyed reading the book.

I didnt like the questions because they were really hard and I didnt know some of the questions awnsers.

If I had more time to finish my poster I would include more things to it and I would make it beutifuler.

I have completed a project on tsunamis. I did this on a poster which included a tsunami explanation, the effects of a tsunami, intresting facts, what to do if an tsunami comes, what to do to prepare for a tsunami and tsunami photos.

I did a really good explanation with lots of detail. I also added lots of colour which made it stand out.

I found it hard to make it look neat and tidy because i did'nt have enough time to do it. Next time i will start it earlier so i could make it look better.

If i had more time to make my project i would have included a border and more photos.
